Gathered in Graditude

Prompt Play: Let’s Write Together!

This Week’s Prompt:

The table wasn’t perfect, but it was full.

My Take on the Prompt:

The mashed potatoes were a little lumpy, the rolls came out darker than planned, and someone forgot the cranberry sauce in the fridge. Again. But when she looked around the table, none of it mattered. Her father was telling the same story he told every year, her sister was laughing so hard she cried, and even the dog had found a seat at someone’s feet. The room glowed with candlelight, warmth, and the soft hum of belonging. It wasn’t a picture-perfect feast, but it was theirs.

Your Turn:

Write your version of Thanksgiving. Maybe it’s family chaos and laughter, an unexpected guest, or the quiet grace of gratitude shared between strangers.✨
