She Stood in the Storm

Prompt Play! Let’s Write Together!

This Week’s Prompt

“She stood in the storm — not because she wasn’t afraid, but because she finally was.”

My Take on the Prompt

The wind howled like a living thing, tugging at her hair, pulling at the hem of her coat. Lightning split the sky, close enough to taste the metal in the air. Every instinct screamed to run, to find safety, to make herself small. But she didn’t. For the first time, she let the fear burn hot in her chest instead of burying it. And as the storm roared around her, she lifted her chin and let it know — she was done hiding.

Your Turn

Write your version of the storm. Maybe it’s grief. Maybe it’s war. Maybe it’s the moment someone decides they won’t back down anymore. ✨
