Far and Away (Includes bonus video)
This song lives inside the world of Letters from Adrian, a story about two artists—Adrian, a celebrated poet grieving the devastating loss of his wife, and Vienna, a painter whose work has touched countless hearts, including his. In the aftermath of tragedy, Adrian withdraws from nearly everyone, but when Vienna sends him a letter inspired by one of his poems, something in it disarms him. His late wife had adored Vienna’s art, and their home still holds several of her pieces; that connection softens the distance between them. What begins as a single, unexpected reply becomes a growing correspondence between two people who never imagined they could be seen again, let alone understood. The song captures that journey through layered, poetic imagery—ruins, clouds, faith, longing, the slow unfurling of hope—as Adrian and Vienna rise from their separate losses and find a new story forming between them.
She, with her cinnamon hair,
Eyes heated with despair,
Of loss too soon to know.
He, broken by the cause,
Passed over by the laws
Of grace and consciousness.
The weight of pictured words,
Screaming out on canvas,
The taste of soul through letters' worth,
Raging bold and rampant.
Crying out
Far and away,
Where the clouds roll above you,
Tossing, turning into the blue,
And away we grow unbroken, tame,
Into happy ever after,
Fade, away, away, away.
Here, dying future, what is dead,
Unto the same path they do tread.
Can’t you feel her reaching?
How it’s lost and could be won,
The words tripping off your tongue
Into praise and wanting.
Need has a need now to be heard.
Oh, to be certain, once not sure
Upon your word,
How faith blossomed in turn.
Crying out
Far and away,
Where the clouds roll above you,
Tossing, turning into the blue.
And away, we grow unbroken, tame,
Into happy ever after,
Fade away, away, away,
Away, away, away.
Far and away,
Where the clouds roll above you,
Tossing, turning into the blue.
And away, we grow unbroken, tame,
Into happy ever after, fade away.
Away.
Away.
Away…
